Currently at Amtech RP Ltd a low volume production service is available for clients requiring volumes of 25 to 1000 units. Our Master Model makers can produce multi core tooling cavities in various materials to reduce costs hence saving on the high costs of hard tooling or any other tooling techniques.

Prototype / Low Volume Production

A master model was provided by our client and a multi core silicone tool was manufactured with a cavity of 4. The cables were then placed into the tool cavities which enables our vac Cast dept to over mould 90 shore PU rubber around the cables thus protecting the wiring from damage in the field. With strict quality guidelines and procedures in place by our client we successfully manufactured units which are still in the field today working as expected. 150 units have currently been produced and is currently still on going.

Materials

Various materials are available from PU Vacuum Casts , V 0 rating flame retardants ( RIM )and UV stable plastics and elastomers. Silicone castings in various shore hardness’s are also obtainable from our low volume production service.
